  • A dedicated representative for the global Mast Climbing Work Platform (MCWP) market has been appointed by the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF), in a new role created by the organisation to reflect the growth and influence of its MCWP membership base and activities.

    As part of IPAF's Andy Access campaign promoting the safe use of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), mast climbing work platforms (MCWPs), and construction hoists, contractors, end-users, and rental firms are encouraged to download the free poster artwork for use in their everyday operations.

  • One of the key conditions for MEWP stability is the ability of the ground or structure to safely support the weight of the MEWP at its point of contact with the ground in all configurations. Failure to consider the load-bearing capacity of the ground could potentially cause the MEWP to go out of level, become unstable, and overturn.
