Falls From Height: Don't Fall For It!

Stay safe and avoid falls from the platform by:

• Conduct a proper MEWP site survey/risk assessment.
• Select the correct machine for the work.
• Use trained operators, supervisors, and managers.
• Operators should be trained on the specific machine type.
• Familiarise operators with the specific model being used.
• Assess machine suitability for the task and conditions.
• Identify whether personal fall protection equipment (PFPE) is required.
• Occupants should never overreach.
• Avoid unfastening PFPE in the elevated position.
• Refrain from stepping on or climbing guardrails/toe boards.
• Never exceed the safe working envelope of the platform.
