Booking is now open for 2018 IPAF Summit and IAPAs

Booking is now open for the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) Summit and the International Awards for Powered Access (IAPAs) celebration dinner, to be held at the Hilton Miami Downtown in Florida, USA, on 8 March 2018.

The theme for the Summit will be “Quantifying Sustainability”, and confirmed speakers to date include: William Plummer, Executive VP and CFO United Rentals; Brad Boehler, President Skyjack; Norty Turner, Riwal Managing Director; Guru Bandekar, Global Vice President, Product Management & Development JLG. Others will be announced shortly.

There will be parallel sessions in the morning, one for MEWPs and one for MCWPs. The morning MEWPs session will focus on enhanced training techniques such as VR and platform simulators.

In the evening, the gala dinner to announce the winners of the 2018 IAPAs will be hosted at the same venue, with nominations for entries now closed and the judging panel meet early in 2018 to decide the category winners.

This year’s judges are: Chris Bowers, formerly senior vice president, customer strategy, sales and marketing at NES Rentals; Chris Carmolingo, regional vice president at BlueLine Rental; Ib Steffensen, director of the lift department at BMS; Nick Selley, IPAF President and business development director at AFI-Uplift; and Tobias Ritzenhöfer, director of engineering Teupen Maschinenbau.

The evening before the Summit, IPAF will host a networking event open to all attendees, and the day after the Summit there will be escorted site visits kindly hosted by United Rentals for anyone wishing to attend.

The IPAF Summit is free to attend but ticketed, while there are also early bird discounts on the IAPAs dinner, so those planning to attend are advised to book now at www.iapa-summit.info.
