RF is short for radio frequency. RF is any frequency within the electromagnetic spectrum associated with radio wave propagation. When an RF current is supplied to an antenna, an electromagnetic field is created that is able to travel, or spread through space.
Revised safety guidance has been published outlining how to reduce risks of trapping and crushing incidents when using MEWPs. It is available to download free of charge.

The IAPAs 2023 shortlists have been announced, after a panel of five industry experts selected the best of the 120 entrants across 13 award categories earlier this week. The final winners will be announced at a gala ceremony on 20 April in Berlin, Germany.
The first rental company in Ireland to join the IPAF Rental+ scheme has been presented with its certification by Damien O’Connor, IPAF’s Irish Country Manager.
Visitors to IPAF’s stand at bauma will be invited to take a safety quiz testing their knowledge of how to prevent falls from the platform in line with IPAF’s Don’t Fall for It! safety campaign.
The IPAF Asia Conference & Showcase event made a successful return on 28-29 July at the Singapore EXPO & Hilton Orchard Singapore – with more than 250 physical attendees joining the first in-person edition of the event since the pandemic.
Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs), are a safe and effective means of access for undertaking temporary work at height tasks. It is important to remember a MEWP is only as safe as the person who is operating it. If this equipment is used incorrectly, unsafely or by inexperienced people, accidents and fatalities are more likely to happen.
This Toolbox Talk provides some safety measures which can reduce the risk of falls from the platform.
