Celebrating IPAF's Remarkable Women: Women in Trade Associations Powerlist 2024

On International Women's Day 2024, the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) proudly announces the inclusion of three exceptional representatives on both the prestigious Women in Trade Associations Outstanding Member Contribution list and the Women in Trade Associations Powerlist 2024. Karin Godenhielm, IPAF's President and Managing Director of Dinolift, and Julie Houston Smyth, IPAF Board member and Director of LOLEX Ltd, were both recognised on the 2024 WiTA Outstanding Member Contribution list. Jo Power, Head of Membership and Communications, received acknowledgement on the 2024 WiTA Powerlist for her outstanding contributions. 

Karin Godenhielm's historic presidency marked a significant milestone as the first female to hold this esteemed position in IPAF's history. Her visionary leadership has not only propelled IPAF's mission forward but has also inspired numerous women within the industry through the Women in Powered Access initiative. 

Julie Houston Smyth's role as a Board member and her initiative in hosting an all-women panel at the IPAF Summit 2023 in Berlin showcases her commitment to promoting gender diversity and inclusion in powered access. Meanwhile, Jo Power's dedication as Head of Membership and Communications has been pivotal in amplifying IPAF's voice and cultivating a vibrant community within the association. 

These remarkable women are not only shining examples of leadership but also active contributors to the Women in Powered Access working group, furthering the cause of gender equality within the industry. 

The Women in Trade Associations Powerlist, a collaborative effort by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), Confederation of British Industry (CBI), and the Trade Association Forum, aims to celebrate and honour inspirational women in the association sector. From over 200 nominations, a rigorous selection process led to the recognition of Karin, Julie and Jo among the 100 outstanding women on the list. 

IPAF extends heartfelt congratulations to Karin, Julie and Jo on this well-deserved recognition and wishes everyone a happy International Women's Day. In line with the theme of ‘Inspire Inclusion’ this International Women’s Day, for aspiring women seeking to venture into the powered access industry, IPAF encourages participation in the Women In Powered Access Mentoring Scheme, providing invaluable support and guidance.
