Free webinar will launch the latest IPAF MEWP safety report

Global MEWP Safety Report

Participants from across the powered access industry are invited to join a free online webinar to share the key findings of the latest Global MEWP Safety Report, compiled from analysis of anonymised data collected through the Accident Reporting Portal operated by the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF).

The webinar will be the latest in a series of free online presentations offered by IPAF, and will be hosted by Brian Parker, IPAF’s Head of Safety & Technical, on 22 June 2021, at 14:00hrs BST. The IPAF Global MEWP Safety Report 2021 will be launched on the same day, and will include the latest available data collected via IPAF’s Accident Reporting Portal (www.ipafaccidentreporting.org) from 2019-20.

Also presenting in the webinar will be:

•           Mark Keily – QHSE Director, Sunbelt Rentals

•           Alana Paterson – Head of HSE, Nationwide Platforms

•           Chris Wraith – Director, Access Safety Management

The presenters will review some accident data slides from the 2021 report, and then have discussions with the group based on some of the key findings. The webinar will examine trends and touch on the culture and approach of capturing and reporting data.

Brian Parker comments: “Being informed of accident statistics can identify training requirements for all who use powered access. Knowing where hazards lie and how to minimise them is a key part of IPAF’s aim to promote the safe and effective use of powered access machines.”

The webinar will be presented in English and will feature simultaneous translation into Italian, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Dutch and Chinese, subject to demand. The webinar is sponsored by Sinoboom and a recording will be available on IPAF’s YouTube channel afterwards for anyone unable to watch live.
