Haulotte is first manufacturer to become IPAF sustaining member
Haulotte, the international Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) and telehandler manufacturer, has signed a historic agreement that sees it become one of the first ever sustaining members of the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF).
The signing of the new agreement officially took place at IPAF’s Europlatform 2018 conference at the Europa Hotel, Belfast, Northern Ireland, on 11 October. Sustaining member is a new category of IPAF membership for organisations that wish to emphasise commitment to the ongoing aim of promoting the safe and effective use of powered access worldwide.
Stéphane Hubert, Chief Sales Officer for Haulotte, comments: “This agreement is a great opportunity for Haulotte to emphasise how vital safety and training are when offering work at height solutions. Haulotte is proud to mark this agreement, which highlights one of our main cornerstones: To offer a best-in-class and safe user experience to our customers.”
Tim Whiteman, CEO & Managing Director of IPAF, adds: “IPAF is about making the powered access industry safer, ensuring people using MEWPs and MCWPs to conduct work at height get to go home at the end of the day, developing training, safety and technical guidance that helps all users of powered access equipment, and providing our members with valuable business intelligence and support services.
“The new category of membership is designed to recognise the importance of IPAF’s initiatives and how they contribute to the success, health, sustainability and profitability of the powered access industry, now and in future. Creating a legacy by investing in future generations of employees, designers, customers and communities is both a necessity and a responsibility.
“IPAF would of course not exist without our members, so we are very pleased that Haulotte has chosen to mark becoming the first manufacturer to become an IPAF sustaining member by signing a new comprehensive global group membership agreement at Europlatform 2018.
“We recognise the support this shows for IPAF and its aims to promote the safe and effective use of powered access worldwide, and we hope that other organisations will follow Haulotte’s lead and consider becoming sustaining members of IPAF.
“We appreciate the commitment this demonstrates to IPAF and its guiding principles and look forward to working with Haulotte to further these aims together in future.”
