Wrapping Up 2024: IPAF’s Presence at the International Rental Conference Asia and Bauma China

IPAF in attendance at Bauma

The IPAF Asia team ended 2024 on a high note, participating in two prominent events in Shanghai: the International Rental Conference (IRC) Asia on November 25 and Bauma China from November 26–29. These events marked a fitting finale to an eventful and successful year for IPAF in China.

The 11th International Rental Conference Asia brought together industry leaders from across the globe for a one-day gathering focused on equipment rental best practices. The conference is a key platform for advancing the rental industry in Asia. IPAF is honoured to partner with KHL as a supporting organisation for this prestigious annual event.

IPAF’s China Regional Manager, Tim Mo, and Asia Regional Development Manager, Amanda Tan, took center stage with a joint presentation titled "How Do Standards Affect the Development of the MEWP Rental Business?" Their insights emphasised the importance of adhering to standards in driving safety and efficiency within the powered access industry.

Bauma China, the International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines, and Construction Vehicles, showcased cutting-edge solutions and technologies. This year’s edition is the first run in 4 years, and its scale and impact continued to impress.

At Bauma China, IPAF hosted an engaging booth featuring an innovative passport activity. Inspired by the IPAF MEWP Winterfest 2023 in Hong Kong, the passport activity encouraged attendees to explore booths from IPAF members in the outdoor exhibit area. Visitors collected stamps from designated checkpoints, completed a short quiz on powered access safety, and entered a lucky draw for exciting prizes.

The booth wasn’t just an activity hub—it also spotlighted IPAF training courses and the globally recognised IPAF PAL Card, emphasising the importance of operator training and certification.

IPAF’s booth became a vibrant meeting spot for members and visitors from around the world, including Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Argentina, Brazil, Germany and the United Kingdom. The camaraderie and exchange of ideas showcased the strength of IPAF’s global community.

A special thank you goes to all visitors, participants, and IPAF members who supported and engaged with us throughout 2024. Your contributions have made our activities and events a tremendous success.

As IPAF Asia signs off for the year, we eagerly anticipate an even more productive and exciting 2025. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to promote and enable the safe, effective use of powered access worldwide.
