IPAF participates in Platformers’ Days event

IPAF Platformers' Days

Following the summer break, Platformers' Days marks the start of a busy period filled with various tradeshows and industry events. Held at the modern trade fair centre in Karlsruhe, the event brought together key players from the lifting industry across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, alongside the world’s leading manufacturers of MEWPs, MCWPs, and hoists.

At the heart of the main pavilion, the organisers, in partnership with Electro-Park, dedicated a large demonstration area to electric machines, highlighting the significance of this technology and an ever-growing focus on sustainability amongst the powered access community.

IPAF was well-represented with a stand at the event, providing an opportunity to meet the entire IPAF DACH team, which supports members in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The team includes Janina Hintermayer, Nadine Reiners, Roger Grossniklaus and Maurizio Quaranta (who supports the Italian-speaking Ticino region in Switzerland), ensuring that the diverse linguistic and cultural needs of members are met.

Janina Hintermayer, Regional Manager for Germany and Austria commented: “We would like to thank the Platformers' Days and our visitors for the interesting discussions and this successful trade fair. We had many interesting conversations and are already looking forward to participating again in 2026.”

IPAF’s Global Safety Campaign, “Crushing Can Kill,” was prominently featured, aiming to raise awareness and prevent entrapment and crushing incidents involving Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs), which have led to numerous fatalities and injuries over the past decade. Additionally, the IPAF Rental Standard, a set of guidelines created by industry experts to support companies that rent or hire powered access equipment, was also promoted. The standard outlines industry-recognised good practices, compliance with safety requirements and legislation, and how to deliver consistently excellent customer service.
