The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) supports European Rental Week, taking place from 14th to 20th October 2024. European Rental Week is an annual event that promotes the benefits and importance of the rental industry across Europe. It provides an opportunity for companies and associations to act together, raising awareness of the rental sector and its role in driving sustainability and innovation.

This year’s theme, "Working in Rental for a Sustainable Future," highlights the commitment of the rental industry to environmental sustainability and the role it plays in supporting the global shift towards greener practices. The rental sector is uniquely positioned to offer sustainable solutions through resource efficiency, eco-friendly equipment, and circular economy practices.

IPAF fully supports the mutually shared focus on sustainability during European Rental Week. The rental industry is key in reducing carbon footprints, conserving resources, and delivering value to customers and communities. Through innovation in rental services, companies can provide solutions that meet the evolving needs of their customers while contributing to environmental goals.

Martin Wraith, IPAF Rental+ scheme manager, commented: "As the IPAF Rental+ Scheme Manager, I’m proud to support European Rental Week and its focus on 'Working in Rental for a Sustainable Future.' The rental industry plays a crucial role in driving sustainability through resource sharing, eco-friendly equipment, and circular economy practices. Our sector is uniquely positioned to reduce environmental impact while delivering value to customers and communities. European Rental Week is a fantastic opportunity to highlight sustainable solutions within the rental industry."

IPAF encourages all rental companies to participate in this year's European Rental Week by organising events, workshops, or demonstrations to raise awareness of the many benefits of the rental sector. There are numerous ways to get involved, whether through hosting open days, inviting local politicians, or using social media to promote the importance of rental in building a sustainable future.

For more information on how to participate, visit the European Rental Week website and download the Communication Toolkit. Join us in celebrating the rental industry’s contributions to a more sustainable future.
