IPAF Webinar: Highlights of IPAF’s Global Safety Report 2024

21 August 2024, 12:00 UK time (GMT+1)

The webinar will introduce IPAF’s new online report for accessing this year’s safety data. The new format is digital-only and enables users to navigate and filter using an interactive screen.

This latest data focuses on fatal and major incidents with the ability to segment by industry sector, country and location, and which machine categories were involved. The data can illustrate emerging patterns and trends and enables comparison with 2023’s data against medium and long-term data, thus highlighting safety and training needs within the industry.

The webinar will also outline IPAF’s current targeted global safety campaign – Crushing Can Kill!  – which raises awareness of the hazards of entrapment in MEWPs and how to work safely; IPAF’s annual safety campaigns are informed by data received via the IPAF accident reporting portal and shows the importance of reporting accidents and near-misses which can be anonymous.

Guest speakers, Rob Cavaleri and Alana Paterson will also present, giving their commentary on the value of the new dashboard and how they use its data to ensure safety and sustainability in their industry roles.
