There are three new posters in the Andy Access safety series: "Danger, keep well clear"; "Do not jump out of the platform"; and "Register pre-owned machines". The posters, for which IPAF Technical & Safety Executive Chris Wraith has been given a "Guardian Angel" Award by ROSPA in the UK, are available to download now in all main IPAF languages by clicking below.
The 24th edition of the APF Exhibition, held from 19-21 September, was a fantastic opportunity for IPAF to engage with the wider forestry and arboriculture community. Held biennially, the event lived up to its reputation as the UK’s leading forestry event, with over 20,000 attendees and 300 exhibitors showcasing £80 million worth of machinery.
Following the summer break, Platformers' Days marks the start of a busy period filled with various tradeshows and industry events. Held at the modern trade fair centre in Karlsruhe, the event brought together key players from the lifting industry across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, alongside the world’s leading manufacturers of MEWPs, MCWPs, and hoists.
IPAF was proud to once again exhibit at Vertikal Days, Europe’s largest lifting equipment event, held at Newark Showground, Nottinghamshire, on the 11th and 12th of September.
CRUSHING CAN KILL - STAY ALERT, STAY ALIVE
Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) are often used to carry out work in areas where there are risks of crushing or entrapment to the platform occupants. Any activity involving MEWPs must be planned and properly managed. Failure to do so can result in injury or death of the platform occupants.
