IPAF takes a stand at inaugural APEX Asia event in Shanghai
The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) keeps up its safety push in China and wider South East Asia this week by taking a stand at the first ever edition of APEX Asia, which runs 31 October-3 November in Shanghai.
Visitors to the first ever Asian edition of the popular APEX expo event hosted every three years in Europe by Industrial Promotions International (IPI) will find IPAF on stand G4-1 in hall N1 of the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC).
IPAF experts will be available to offer safety and technical guidance, to explain about the benefits available to IPAF members and to hand out promotional and safety campaign materials, including Andy Access safety posters available in multiple languages, including simplified and traditional Chinese.
IPAF’s larger-than-life Andy Access mascot will also be in attendance, mingling with delegates and directing visitors to the IPAF stand next to one of the main entrances in the exhibition hall.
Raymond Wat, IPAF’s South East Asia Regional General Manager, Bai Ri, IPAF’s China Representative, and Tim Whiteman, IPAF’s CEO & Managing Director, will all be among the delegation on stand and will be keen to explain the importance of using a full-body harness with a short adjustable lanyard on boom-type platforms, as per the pledge signed by all attendees of IPAF’s Asia Conference earlier this year.
Tim Whiteman comments: “This will be IPAF’s third major event in China in 2017, following on from BICES in Beijing and our own Asia Conference in Changsha. It’s a fantastic opportunity to reaffirm IPAF’s ongoing safety and training drive in a country with a rapidly developing powered access industry and a genuine thirst for training support, safety and technical guidance.
“IPAF is also very pleased to be an official supporting partner of IPI’s exciting new venture; we are sure the event will prove a great success and hopefully there will be many more editions of APEX Asia to come.”
IPAF will be hosting a special networking event at 16:00 hrs local time on Wednesday 1 November on stand G4-1 in hall N1 of SNIEC. This will be an informal opportunity to meet IPAF staff and members, while learning about the latest training and safety developments in China. Members are invited to bring along friends and contacts who may benefit from learning about IPAF and its activities.
