IPAF was proud to once again exhibit at Vertikal Days, Europe’s largest lifting equipment event, held at Newark Showground, Nottinghamshire, on the 11th and 12th of September.

Our stand welcomed visitors from across the globe as we showcased a diverse range of initiatives, campaigns, and projects. Among the highlights was the Global Safety Report, which has recently transitioned to a digital format. The report was conveniently accessible via a QR code displayed on a pull-up banner. We also promoted our global safety campaign "Crushing Can Kill," aimed at raising awareness and reducing the risk of entrapment and crushing incidents involving Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs).

A special thank you to Sinoboom Europe, Haulotte, CMC, DINGLI (Star Platforms) and Skyjack Europe for supplying machines to demonstrate the hazards addressed in our Global Safety Campaign. We would also like to extend our thanks to Nationwide Platforms and Haulotte for showcasing their secondary guarding devices at our stand.

In addition, visitors were informed about our upcoming series of eight UK roadshows in October, for IPAF Approved Training Centres which will focus on IPAF’s strategic commitment to digitisation. You can register for free by clicking HERE.

We were also pleased to promote the next IPAF Summit and IAPAs, scheduled to take place in Dublin in March 2025, which will celebrate the best of the powered access industry. Previous award winners attended Vertikal Days, further highlighting the importance of the event.

Safety and innovation remain at the core of IPAF’s mission to promote and enable the safe, effective use of powered access worldwide. Our ongoing focus on the Global Safety Campaign, digitisation, training, and the latest technological advancements ensures that the powered access industry continues to evolve with the highest safety standards in mind. The introduction of our updated operator course, emphasis on reducing accidents through campaigns such as 'Crushing Can Kill', and the digital Global Safety Report, reflect our commitment to shaping a safer future for the industry.

Throughout the course of the event, several key meetings took place, including the IPAF Board and Council Meetings held at the Goodwin Suite, and the IPAF MCWP and IPAF Rental+ Meetings, both of which were conducted alongside the show.

We took the opportunity to engage with both existing and newly recruited members, strengthening relationships across the powered access industry.

Peter Douglas, CEO and Managing Director of IPAF, commented: “Vertikal Days was a fantastic opportunity for networking and engaging in productive discussions with a wide range of companies from the powered access industry. We were able to promote IPAF’s key initiatives, update visitors on the soon-to-be-released operator course and enjoy an excellent display of machines on show. As always, Vertikal Days was a well-organised event, bringing together the powered access community and the wider industry.”

Looking ahead, we are excited to be exhibiting at the upcoming APF event (Association of Professional Foresters) from 19th-21st September.

Additionally, IPAF’s annual UK member event, IPAF Elevation, will be held at the Birmingham Metropole Hotel on 7th November. You can register for the event by clicking HERE
