IPAF appoints new training auditor for Benelux

Marcel van der Vlist

The International Powered Access Federation has appointed a new auditor to monitor training quality in Benelux.

Marcel van der Vlist joins IPAF in December bringing a wealth of experience in construction health and safety.

Based near the Dutch/Belgian border, Marcel is a QHSE Officer, a qualified IPAF instructor, and a safety instructor for material handling. He is fluent in Dutch and English.

IPAF’s audit team assesses its training centres to ensure that high standards are met on a consistent basis throughout the world.

IPAF carries out initial inspections of facilities followed by annual surveillance audits, unannounced visits and telephone audits.

Training facility standards, training records and quality of teaching are all monitored through the audit process.

All team members have experience in the powered access industry and are accredited ISO 9001 lead auditors or equivalent.

IPAF Audit Manager Katrin Blau said: “Marcel is experienced in the powered access industry, he possesses a great understanding of safety, and H&S knowledge and is aligned with the audit department’s philosophy to support our members to ensure that IPAF rules and standards are met, and that we audit to find compliance.

“I am looking forward to working with Marcel and am delighted that he is joining the audit team.”

Celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2023, IPAF promotes the safe and effective use of powered access equipment worldwide.
